This is denied by the parties chiefly interested, and it is probably a canard. There was a union meeting of s0-called Christian Chinese in Dr. Hall’s Chnrch, New York City, on Sunday night, with an attendance of tome three hundred of them. The Secretary of the Union said that there were eighteen Chinese Sunday schools in the city, ten in Brooklyn and one in Jersey City. They have about seven hundred ~ Members. Dr. Hall welcomed the Chinamen to his church. oo Two important foot races have just been made, and will be run at San Francisco in a few weeks.
