Two large boxes of the finest flowers grown in this section, were sent

used in decorating the Young America’s Engine for the celebration, One
of the boxes contained two beautiful
wreaths and the letters ‘“‘Y” and
“‘A’’ and figure “2"" worked in varigated flowers. The firemen there as
well as the people will appreciate
the flowers, and we. predict No. 2

Dance Te-morrow Night.
Everything is arranged for the
Firemens’ dance to-morrow night.
(The several committees have done
their work well, and we can assure
all that a splendid time is in store
for them. It shuuld be remembered
that the Rink is well ventilated and
cool, that the best of music has been
engaged, that the floor is in a firstelass condition for dancing, that
there will be room for all, and that
the object for which the party is
given is a worthy gne. Everyone

We believe there will be a celebration at Grass Valleyto-morrow. We
have seen an advertisement to that
effect in the local paper, but our
people knew notling uboutit except
by rumor. There bas been. no notice sent us about it, and no bills
have been posted here. . Must people would think the affair’ would be
very tame, judging by the amount of
ptinter’s ink used. Perhaps no one
from this place is wanted down there.
