Rich Strike, Robinson & Beedle,who who have been prospedting & quartz ledge on the old Rough and Ready road takes up the hill, are taking out ‘some very ' rieli-deeomposed quartz at the presenttime, Some months ago these gentlemen commenced prospecting a ledge which looked favorable, and aftersinking an incline to a eonsiderable depth, took out @ crushing, which milled them at the rate of two dollars per ton. . Being disheartened they quit work on the Tedge, and concluded to prospect a cross ledge which they cut while sinking. their incline, After running on the ledge a short distance, they took three bucketfuls of the decomposed roek, and panning it out obtained $27 50 in free gold, some of the flukes being . ledge, as far'as uncovered, is two feet thick, partly decomposed,‘ and_is well filled with the precious’ metal.
