How many thousands of persons, both male and female, are there whoare suffering out a miserable existence from the effects of seeret.indulgences. or from j
virus absorbed into the system. “Look at their pallid .
emaciated and disfigured faces and their broken-dewn
indtriage or the enjoyment of life. In this horrid situation thousands suffer until death closes’ tlié scene. ~
Let parents, guardians and friends, attend fo those
who are suffering with any of these horrible, life-destroying makelies—see that they are cared for and
eured before it be too late. Send them immediately
to Dr. Gibbon. a physician who has made priyate diseases his especial study for years, and who is
certain to cure the most inveterate cases without mereury or any injnrious drugs. It is importgnt to those
who are afflicted. or to those who are interested in
the welfare of their friends, to be careful of the many
pretended Doctors who infest all cities, publishing
their. skill in euring all diseases ina few days, impo-:
sing npon the public by using the names of eminent
physicians from Europe and other places. Be therefore careful aud make strict enquiry, or you may fall
into the hands of those charlatans.
Syphilis is Syphilis the world over; so is small pox,
consumption and other diseases, to the contrary of
what quacks may say. :
Seminal Weakness.
Seminal Weakness, the consequence of self-abuse,
This solitary vice or depraved sexual indulgence is
practiced by the youth of both sexes to an almost unlimited extent, producing with unerring certainty
the following train of morbid symptoms, unless combatted by scientific medical measures, viz: sallow
Pp countenance, dark spots under the eyes, pain in the
head ringing in the ears, noise like the rustling of .
leaves and rattling of chariots, uneasiness about. the
loins, weakness oF the limbs, éonfused vision, blunt
intellect, loss of confidence, diffidence.in appreachiug
strangers, a dislike to form new acquaintances, a disposition to shun society, loss of mémory, hectic fivshes, pimples and various eruptions about the face, furred tongue, fetid breath, coughs, consumption, night
sweats, monomania and frequent insanity. If relief
be not obtained should applyimmediately either in
person or by letter, and have a cure effected by. this
new and scientifie niode of treating: this eomplaint,
which never fails of effeeting a quick and radical cure
Dr. G. will give $100.to any person who will prove
satisfactorily to him that he was cured by either of
the San Francisco quacks.
Dr. Gibbon is responsible and will give to each
patient a written instrument binding himself to effect
«radical and permanent cure, or make no charge.
Persons at a distance may be Cured at Home
by addressing a letter to Dr. Gibbong stating
ease, symptoms, length of time the disease has continued, and have medicine promptly forwarded, free
from damage and curiosity, to any part of the country, with full and plain directions for use for ten dollars, sent in a registered letter or through Wells,

Caution to the Unfortunate.
Beware of the San Franeiseo quacks and_pretenders who, with bogus sworn to certificates, dupe the

names are to be found in the daily and weekly papers of San Francisco and other places, are tradesmen, and became tvo lazy to Work at their trade—.
Sore are vinsmiths, shoemakers, newspaper carriers,
intelligence office keepers, etc. Look over the San
Francisco City Direetory and and you will not find
their medical institutes init, but-you will find their
former occupation in it: Look at -theDirecto for1862 and 1863The only way to avoid imposition is
to make inquiry—it will cost you nothing and may
save you many regrets, for, as advertising physicians
in eight eases out of ten are bogus, there is no safety
in trusting any of them till you-know who and wi
they are. Dr. Gibbon does not deeeive people
