Foun.illions of bricks have been . used in the construction of ‘the Palace Hotel in San Francisco up to this time, They have been laid in ‘cement and banded together with ifon, which is the strongest possible mode of building. The whole structure will require sixteen millions/ of bricks, five hundred and seventy-five tons of cast and wrought iron, and sixteen thousand barrels of coment and lime.
