A NARROW ESCAPE.
Weare informed that on..Monday
afternoon, as some boys from this
city were bathing in the Stony res@ryoir, at Cement Hill, one.of them,
George Pascoe; temporarily lost control of his lower limbs, and narrowly .
escaped being drowned. * He sank
out of sight and came to the surface
twice, before regaining a position
that enabled him to swim to the
shore, which was only a short distance away. Water isa goed thing
in its place, bat small boys who are
not fi *'-rate swimmers should exercise great precaution in fooling
around it.
