rock immediately. It will not be long now

part of Eureka Township, where so many
valuable leads have been found.. .
. THE NORTH STan.—A lot of rock from
the North Star Ledge recently crushed at
Palmer's mill, paid $1760 per'ton,. While
the amalgam was being melted the retort
burst scattering the contents about the mill,
and some gold was lust, Itiié' fhoaght the:
yield would have been at least $25 had it
not been for. the accident. ‘ihe North Star
is oae of the recent discoveries, and promises to become an excellent mie. This is
the second crushing.
Tae -Banyer Mine.—The Banner Company are taking out an immense lot of rock.
They have a large surplus on hand at Stiles’
mill and commenced hauling to Pulmer’s
yesterday. With five teama they can keep
both mills going fur some time. Quite a
large pile of réck has accumulated at the

Coprer Mints —The copper ‘mines in
the lower part of this county are being worked to some extent and prospecting -is attended with good success. Ih the Last

been found one hundred feet below the sur.
