A CONVENTION OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, of Nevada County, will
be held on SATURDAY, June Mth, #871, at
Nevada City, at 11 6 clock, A. M. for the puridse of choosing Sixteen Delegates to the
Jnion Republican State Convention, and to
the Congressional Convention of the Secon
* Congressional District, and for the transaction_of such other business. as shall come
_before-said Convention.
Primary-Elections for the election of dele=-.
gates to the County Convention will be held
in the several Préeincts of the County, on
SATURDAY, JUNE 17th, 1871.
In the Precincts of Nevada city and Grass
Valley, primary elections willbe held between the hours of 9 o’clock, A. M>and sundown, and in pursuance of the provisions of
the Porter Primary Law. In all other precincts between the hours of 7 and 9 P. M.
The following is the apportionment of delegates for the several precincts :
Nevada Township 16 delegates.

The test for qualification of voters at the
primaries will be a pledge to support the
nominees of the Union Republican State,
Congressional and County Conventions of
the year 1871.
