Charley Buchas, the practical joker,
was in_asmall town in Connecticut
the other day, and as he started for
New York he stood on the rear platform of the last car on the train.
Just as the whistle was blown and
the cars began to move, Bachus espied a big fellow lounging in the depot, and shaking his fist at him in
assuming rage, be shouted:
“Oh, there you-are, you villain.
I’ve been looking for-‘you all over
this cursed town. Ob, you knave,
you thief, you scoundrel!”
At this time the train was rapidly .
moving out of the depot, and Bachus .
wildly shoek his fist at the astonished stranger, screaming, ‘don’t I wish .
I had time to get off and thrash you,

the tfain was stopped and backed into the depot. Bachus made a rush

as the brawny-fisted depot lounger
