(PEOPLE'S MARKET.)
N acquaintance remarked to me the other
day, that he had read my Card proposing to
save the public fifty or sixty thousand dollars a
year in their Meat Bills. but said he, I have too
high an opinion of your good sense to suppose
for a moment that you seriously intended such a
thing, for you must know that you would be much
more thought of, if you were to rob the public of
that amouut rather than saveit fur them !

Think for yourselves my dear public, and show
the fallacy of the remark of my cynical acquaintance— relieve me of the awkwarduess of seeming
to have hazarded my claims to goud sense in trying to aid you, by uelping to sustain an instrument of much needed competition. §
