We propose te give them a good campaign paper, and we should like to have it reach every camp and voter in the county. To this end we would suggest that where Repub Jican clubs are organized, our friends make up a list of subscribers and send them along. Let us have substantial evidence that you have the confidence expressed by the above resolution. . vw, Celebration at Truckee. No man in the State gets these things up in better style than Roll of Honor. The following names were placed npon the Roll of Henor in the Kentucky Flat District; J. E. Carr teacher, for the month ending June 23d:— Isabella. Dahle, Alphonso Hartung, Willis Green. Manuel Silver Dears, Marie King, Mary Hastings, Frank E. Taylor, Annie Hughes, Amelia Hartung, Benj. Thus far not a delegate has been chosen against him. «ab For Assessor. “George Grant of Rough and Ready, is announced as —@ candidate for County Assessor. Mr. Grantis an old resident of this county, a good Republican, and highly esteemed where known. Take Notice. Dr. Aborn, from San Francisco, whose remarkable success in curing chronic and obstinate diseases of the eye, ear, head, throat and chest, nary modes of treatment, is so well known, has miade arrangenients to commencing improve It, as It does not really seem possible that such extraordinary inducements can be offered to the people of Nevada county, as are being made at the present time by Banner Brothers, of this city, yet such is the fact, and it behooves all our people, both in this locality as well as in distant parts of the county, to take advantage of the favorable opportunity now presented to ‘them. In San Francisco clothing is sold at a very high figure, as well as in New York, and.within the dast month, all woolen goods have advanced from 10 to 20 per cent., owing to the failure in the wool clip. Yet in the-mountains of California, in the city of Nevada, where heavy freights are to be added, everything in the clothing line is sold at 100 per cent. cheaper than in the above places. It does seem unaccountable, nevertheless.it is true, and the cause of itcan be easily explained. The well hnewn firm of Banner Bros., on the corner of Broad and Pine streets, who have the largest and most beautiful stock of goods ever seen in a clothing establishment in the State, are selling off their stock for the purpose of engagmg in business else' where, and are offering their clothing so cheap that it surprises. everybody. Among the goods which will be sold a: extraordinary bargains, are fine broadcloth dress suits, beaver suits, cassimere suits, linen suits, white duck suits, and every other kind and quality to be had. _ They have also a large assortment of hats, of every style and description, shirts, gloves, trunks, valises, boots and shoes.— Their furnishing department for gen-tlemen cannot be excelled anywhere. Banner Brothers are determined to close business in Nevada city, and the very low prices at which they are selling goods, is good evidence that they mean what they say. During the past ten years, this firm have enjoyed the good will of all who have had dealings with them, and their goods and prices have always given the best satisfaction. Merchants in ® Fiat, North Gloomfield, You itet, al in fact everywhere-else in the mountains, by calling om Banner Brothers, will do much better by selecting from their immense stock than by going to San Francisco. for supplies. Such opportunities to save money seldom occur, and the people of Nevada county should not fail to take advantage of the present one. Application for a Patent to Placer Gold Mining Claim.
