McCLELLAN LepGE.—The National has seen some fine specimens trom this. ledge, about one and a half miles from the Banner mine. It is from four to six feet thick, and particularly rich in sulphurets, the present rock containing not less than 10 per cent., most of it will go 20 per cent., some of it is fully half, and some is “the clear quill.” The sulphurets are worth from $80 to $400 per ton, being very fine and heavy. Four years ago, thirty tons crushed at Stiles’ mill’ yielded $9 78 per ton, exclusive of sulphurets. The claim comprises 1,500 feet and is owned by Aaron Clark, J. M. Days, and others, who have applied for a U. 8. Patent. Work will soon be recommenced, and there is every probability that the owners wlll be amply remunerated.
