She is now . teaching at Birchville. A Gane or THEM.—Recently a store was robbed in this city and a night or two . after oneat Union Hill. In both cases such an amount of property was taken as leaves no doubt that a gang of thieves are operating at this business. It is surmised that the goods stolen are conveyed to the railroad and transported to Sacramento or San Francisco. In both cases men were sleeping in the houses robbed. These fel: lows have commenced their work and it would be well for housekeepers and merchants to keep a sharp look out for them.
