Marshal Baldridge went ont to the

Did its Work Well.
Saturday evening a good-sized
powder blast. was tired in the Polar
Star mine, Dutch Flat. The charge
consisted of 150 boxes of Judson powder, equal to 309 kegs of black powder, or near 34 tons. The Times
says the bank was 80 feet high but
the. whole business raised easily
when the powder was fired.
