“ Board of Trustees of the City of Nevada do ordain as follows:
From and after July ist, 1883, and until

greater, shall be charged and may be collected, per week, by the Nevada City Water Work:

water for the purposes of irrigation. The
rates shall be considered chargeable for the
season, and are deemed to be due at the close
of the season for irrigation, which for the
surpose of collecting the same, shali not be
ater than the first day of November, 1883.
Section 43. For irrigation, for lots where
products are raised for sale, $40.
Section 44. For irrigation, for lots of 200
feet front or over, not selling produce, $10.
Section 45. For irrigation, for lots of over
50 and under 200 feet front, 36.
Section 46, For irrigation for lots under

All persons are required to take water
fromthe Water Company for domestic uses
to cette dog to obtain water for irrigation.
The Water Contpany may céase to supply
water to any person able to pay for the same
if, on presentation of a demand for the sum
due, thecustomer shall neglect or refuse to
pay said“amount within thirty days thereafter.
No.person except the prop‘rly authorized
agent of the Water Company shall turn on
the water to any place or bulldiig without

hereinafter provided.
In consideration of the right to collect the

A Tanaris, March 15th, 1883, the Board
of Trustees of Nevada City, having had the
sanitary condition of the city under investigation, having received the advice of eminent physicians as to the necessity for the
appointment of a Health Officer, and having
had the opinion of the City Attorney, Mr.
Cross, upon the power to appoint, passed,
unanimously the following resolution:
‘Resolved, by the Board of of Nevada City, that Dr. Henry S. Welch is hereby
appointed Health Officer for Nevada City,
under the provisions of Section 3062 of the
Political Code of this State, to exércise such
powers within the limits of said City-as are
conferred upon him by law.

the appointment aforesaid, and under the
authority and powers conferred by the Code,

I.
The different’ physicians of this city, or
those who have aepgers residing here, a
soon as they find that a case of smalt-pox exists in their practice, must report the same
to the Health Officer, who will instruct the
City Marshal to display ‘u yellow flag at said
premises, and to quarantine said premises,
so that none shall pass in or out of said prem.

Meeting of the stockholders of the Nevada
County Narrow Gauge Railroad Company,
for the election of seven Directors, to serve
