Arrested for Injuring a Public Road.
Wm. H. Smith made a complaint
before Judge Garthe, Monday,charging R. G. McCutchan, a well known
miner on Canada Hill, with washing
away, by hydraulicing, a poftion of
the wagon road passing his claims.
Mr. McCutchan was arrested yesterday afternoon. This is instituted as
a test case, rather than to obtain

doubt as to whether the road referred
