Constable James Reed of Meadow’ Take township has been arrested for the shooting of Joe Dysart at Truckee recently, and will have kis preliminary hearing as soon as the infanticide case of CharlesGiffen, . _ which comes up for examination next Monday, has heen disposed of, Dysart:is reported to be in‘a dangerous condition with slight prospect for his recovery, It will be remem— bered that the shooting grew out of-a-personal row between the two principals. Reed claims that Dysart attempted to draw a weapon and that the shot was fired in self—-defense. Dysart, on the contrary,.says he can prove that. he had. not been in the hahit of going armed for several years, had no weapon on his person when he-was fired at, and made no effort to draw one, Boy Priseners from Trackoc.
