Barrett, supported by McCullough, Sophie Edwin, and the excellent troupe from Maguire’s Opera House, appeared in Hamlet last night. At this writing we can not speak fully of the play. To-night Barrett will personate Eliot Gray in the comedy of Rosedale. All the members of the troupe have fine opportunities for showing what they are capable of. Tne Frurr Prosrecrs.—Thus far the séason gives promise of an abundant crop of fruit. The apple, peach and all other fruit trees are loaded with young fruit and the grape vines are just beginning to put forth their leaves. ‘The Spring is now su far advanced that there is little danger of injury from frost. The late rain just canice at the “right season and will be of great benefit to orcliards and vineyards. We may therefore expect unusual crops of fruit of every description. RusH For Seats.—Yesterday morning, when Bill Davidson opened the box office at the Theatre there was quite a rush for seats. Several infaw. ated young men stood by with index flanger siglited, ready as-s00n-as word was given to dive for choice seats.— Davidson presided as usual with impartiality, strictly. adhering to the rule that “the first coming should be first served.” ' By noon one hundred and fifty seats had been taken. MINING aT OMEGA.—The mining companies at Omega are all atiwork with excellent prospects and abundance of water. There is every prospect. that-. a large amount of profitable mining. will be done at Omega and Diamond Creek during the present season. Goop TimE.—Johnny Roys, driver of the Telegraph stage, is now making first-rate time, arriving in town every day about half past 12 o’clock, with mails and passengers trom Colfax. RovueH Trip.—The tueatrical troupe had quite a rough trip from Marysville vo the Yuba river. One of the stages went down.in seven feet of water, and one of the horses came near being drowned. The pole was broken and the stage had to be pulled out with ropes.
