On Tuesday last, as the Marysville stage,
driven by Briggs, was making the. first tara-. :
on the gradé below Rough’ and Ready, a
teamster, whip in hand, came running across
the diggings, calling to the’ driver to stop. —
He intormed Briggs that a team ahead of
lis, a¢ the next bend of the read had been
robbed, and that he hud leit his wagon stand
ing in the road ‘and “took tu the brush” to
keep: from being roobed *himself. The teatnster had $300 and was terribly frightened.
