VELOCIPEDE RIDING. —On Sunday a
small crowd assembled at the race track
to witness the feat of riding the velocipede on a wire, hy Master Seigrist. The
velocipede used did not steer by the
fore wheel as usual, and the tires were
grooved. The feat was successfully
performed. The principal interest was
manifested in thetontest between John
Hanly of Nevada and Mr. Cleaves of
Grass Valley, for a silver cup, which
was won by the former. The track was
not in good condition for velocipede
riding. Hahly made the mile in seven
minutes and forty-two seconds, and his
opponent in nine minutes and —
