The velocipede used did not steer by the fore wheel as usual, and the tires were grooved. The feat was successfully performed. The principal interest was manifested in thetontest between John Hanly of Nevada and Mr. Cleaves of Grass Valley, for a silver cup, which was won by the former. The track was not in good condition for velocipede riding.
