‘ CHINAMAN ARnREstep—A strange and
= suspicious Chinaman, who bas been floating
,areund our city for the past few days,-was
arrested night beiore last for stealing a pair
of boots from the store of John Herzinger,
i _ on Broad street, It appears he had visited
nearly every store in the burg and made no
purchases whatever. Tuesday afternoon
he went into Herainger’s store and tried on .
