A GRAND MUSICAL FESTIVAL
WILL BE GIVEN AT
NEW CONCERT HALL,
Grass Valley, Nevada County, Cal,
June ist, 1871.
By the Grass Valley Miners? Home
Association,
In Aid of a HOME FOR DISABLED MINERS
60,000 Tickets will be sold-at $2.50 Coin, each.
It is proposed to erect in the vicinity of
} Grass Valley, a home for disabled and superannated miners.
‘Phe home we propose to.erect will be under
the management and direction of the following well known gentlemen, Board of Trnstees : Hon. Wm. Watt, Hon. Thos. Findley,
A. B. Brady, Esq. Dudley Hoyt, Esq. and Mar-.
tin Ford, Keq. all of whom are residents of
Grass Valley, Nevada county, Cal. The Trustees will make and execute regulations for
the proper and economical conduct of the
Home. :
he Home will derive some of its support
from regular monthly subscriptions of the
working mines, and from contributions from
the charitably disposed of all classes. It is
believed that in this way the Home can be
maintained when it is once eetablished
The necessity of such a home is demonstrated every day. Mining actidents are frequent
and in many instances result, in disability to
the subjects of them. The community is almost daily called upon to subscribe funds for
the assistance of the disabled. This tax on a
generous community is to be used to a better
pose and do more-good to-the unfortunate
y the establishment of the Home to which
we refor, and which we propoge to éstablish
