The Young Ladies Social Club
cleared the sum of $55 at the party
given by them on Friday evening
last. This is pretty good; as the
parties given by the-vyarioug, Clubs
in this city consider that they are
for they spare no expense, and are
gotten up in first class style, not ex. -—~-Peeting-to—muke ‘anything. —One} ter. Am
cause of their success was, the purty
was the last given by the Club for the
season, and it was’ determined to
make it a tip-top affair, Another
reason was, that each young lady
made it her business to ask her gen”
tleman friends to buy a ticket; one
young lady alone selling $50 worth,
and all selling more or less. The}
young ladies will now do their prettiest to muke the Complimentary
Party, tendered to Mr, Milliagton,
. which comes off to-morrow, Thurs~ day evening, a success, (which they
‘will be sure to dv), and then they
will take a rest until cool. Weather
