Now that is eutirely too thin on the part of the Union. We assert that we have not and will not putonm.party harness, but shall be free to write just as we believe to be right, regardless of all parties. To say the least, this charge comes with very poor taste from the Union, which has always declared . itself independent, and gets mad when it is called a party organ, when two years with political articles in favor of the . Democracy, and not a singte tine i favor of the Republicans. Thé fight which is going on now between Repnblienns We consider it our duty to stop, if possible, that good feeling may prevail among our fellow citizens.
