Before.the sun hardly had time to
get its eyes open yesterday morning,
Marshal Baldridge had arrested and
locked up a patriotic citizen who
must heve staid up all night so as to
begin the day with so big a brick in

The. members of Nevada Light
‘Guard will hold their Annual Parade
and Target Practice at the Rifle
Grounds near this city day after toinorrow (Saturday). Several notable
militiamen from abroad are expected
to be present.
Loss of a Valuable Horse.
Tuesday a woman hired a fine
span of iron-grey horses at the livery
‘stable of D. Wellington; and drove
them from seven o'clock in the morning until elevén at night. One of
the animals died later in the night.
It was valued at $200. The woman
immediately sent for the owner and
~paid him his price for it. Mr. Wellington says during all his experience,
it is the first time he ever recovered
damages for a similar loss without
trouble.
