D. . ~ Caulkins, traveling correspondent of the Lawrence county, Kansas, Daily Journal, who is visiting his brother, Delos Caulkins, of this city. Mr. Caulkins resided in this county in 1856, aod is now: visiting his old friends and _ getting material for correspondence to the paper which he represents. He will no doubt. find much in relation to the mineral aiid other resources of the county, which will be interesting to the readers of the Journal, which; by the way, is one of the best west of the Mississippi. The New Rink. The Committee of the Young Men’s Social Club had the new skating hall landsomely decorated with flags and emblems yesterday and the music sounded excellent. The rink is a splendid building for sound, beivg tar superior to many halls designed for public speaking. The party given at the opening last evening will receive proper consideration to-morrow as we Went to press tooearly to give an account of it. ; . New Goods; A.
