In Aid of a HOME FOR DISABLED MINERS
60,000 Tickets will be seld at $2,50 Coin, each.
It is proposed to erect in the vicinity of
Grass Valley, a home for disabled and superannated miners.
The home we propose to erect will be under
the management and direction of the following well known gentlemen, Board of Trustees: Hon. Wm. Watt, Hon. Thos. Findley,
A. B, Brady, Esq. Dudley Hoyt, Esq. and Mar. tin Ford, Esq. allof whom are residents of
Grass Valley, Nevada county, Cal. The Trustees will make and execute reguiations for
the proper and economical conduct of the
Home.
The Home will derive some-ef-its—suppert
from regular monthly seers pons of the
working mines, and from contributions from
the charitably disposed of all classes. It is
believed that in this way the Home can be
maintained when it is once established
The necessity of such a home is demonstra<
ted every day, Miningaccidents are frequent
and in many instances result. in disability to
the subjects of them, The-community is’ almost daily called upor to subscribe funds for
the asbistance of the disabled. This tas-on-a
