Court House be so arranged that it can be

that. the corner of the building upon which
it stands needs repairing.
~The Hospital committee found that ¢stablishment in a most satisfactory condition, the building and rooms in good order,
and everything in ‘a cleanly condition —
The Ffospital contains thirty-four patients,
whoare well cared for and fed.
Arm Broken.—E. W. Noonan, says the
Grass Valley Union, while driving along
Auburn street, last Thursday évening,
was thrown from his wagon; by which accident he had his left':arm broken near the
wrist. It was tolerably dark at the time,
and one of the fore wheels of the wagon
went into a hole, thus pitching the vehicle
forward and throwing Noonan to the
ground. Dr! ‘Tyrrell was called who set
the broken limb.

Hornitos experienced a heayy flood from
the rise of Hornitos creek. One gentleman
residing in Hornitos. says the water stood
in his yard four feet higher than in the
flood of 1861-62. Tt carried off a barn
and 200 tons of hay belonging to one man
and washed away fences, doing much
damage. It had been. raining hard two
hours when the water poured from the
clouds in torrents some two hours Jonger,
swelling the creck four feet. higher than
