Shortly after Martin Hedrich was. going home gnd he saw two Chi-amen, evidently. jhe same, going over the hill with a bundle, and on arriving at his cabin fe found that his bedding, clothing, end other things had been stolen, Hedrich had a savage dog which was poisoned some daysago. This is the second time recently that dggs have been poisoned and robberies committed shortly afterwards. The Grand Jury Report. The Grand Jury compieied business on Friday and reported to the County Court. The following pergons were indicted: Beujumin Reed for murder; John Glynn for burglary; and Ah Hung and Ah Jim for grand larceny. 5 : The jury ignored the complaint against Ah Kong, charged with an attempt to commit grand larceny; also the case of Wm. Waters,nccused of an.assault with intent to commit murder, The case of Samuel Hodge, eharged with assault with intent to commit murder, was.also dismissed, >. GRAND MASQUERADE! The Grand Jury say: ‘The Grand Jury have also inquired into the ‘action had in J. stice Palmer’s Court, resulting in the dismissal of Wm. Bristow died from the effects of poigon administered to it by mistake. “The child was ten or twelve days old and was suffering from some indisposition for which the nurse gave it whut she supposed to be syrup. It turned out that the dose administered was laudanum, and the child died from the effects of it in a short time after it was given. E A Fire Proof Vault.
