have been engaged for some time in
running a bed-rock tunnel at Peck’s
ravine, are now'ina distance of 700
feet. Within another 120 feet they
expect to tap the gold-bearing channel, and open: up a first-class gravel
mine. About six weeks will be consumed in accomplishing this.
