Mest und most Approved style ot Leadville. ‘One year-ago Leadville contained onk; 1500 people, and was then considered a ‘roaring camp.” Te-day it contains not.less than 20,000 people, and possib'y half as many more again. It supports three daily newspapers; has four church ‘buildings, and.several more church organiza-. tious; ‘has instituted a system of public schools; has water-works already established; gas-works in process of construction will be completed in a morith; has a street.railway dhartered; a telephone company's wires already up, with connection to all the leatling minfés, smeltera and ‘business houses generally; thirty-four sampling and reduction works and ‘thirty saw mills in and abort the town; one ‘hundred and forty-seven lawyers; fifty doctors; thirteen ‘livery stables, and yet many times not a horse ean be haa for the love of money; ten dry goods stores, tne largest carryinga stock worth $80,000; one hundrefi and eight gambling -and club houses, and forty-four hotels and lodging houses. It is pretty generally believed that another year will see 50,000 people in Leadville. Tue trial of a copyright suit in Washington brings vut the fact that ‘one printer has, within a year, furnished thousands of counterfeits of foreign champagne ‘labels to put on American wine. The ®eath-rate of Our country is getting to be fearfully alarming, the average of life being lessened every year, without any reasonable cause, death resulting generally from the most insignificant origin. At.this season of the year especially, a:cold is such a common thing that ia the hurry of every day life we are apt to overlook the dangers attending 1t and otten find too late, that a Fever or Lung trouble has already setin. Thousands lose their lives in this way every winter, while had Bos¢hee’s German Syrup been taken a cure would have resulted, and a large‘biJlfrom a Doctor been avoided. Fer-all diseasesof the Throat and Lung, Boschee’s German Syrup has proven itself te be the greatest discovery of its kind in medicine. Every Druggist inthis country will tell you of its wonderful efifect. Over 930;000 bottles sold last year without a-single failure known.
