An Interesting Letter.
Very few’: “perscns, even among physicians,
would have been willing upon any terms 'to have
been in the condition of the writer of the fullowing letter on the 14th of February last. 1 will
anticipate somewhat his report of the facta, by
saying that on the 15th of Apgust, he made -me
whica tries and proves all things, has sufficiently tested this case; and shown. that neither reldpse noe eollapse having followed, tke cure is
perfect, and can be cited among the scores of
similar casés. the result of my improved mode
of treating disease without medicine.
G. M, BOURNK, Water Cure Physician.
No. 10 Masonic Temple, Post St.

Sacramento, April 30, 1865.
“DR. G. Mi BOURNE—Dear .Sir —{t, is with
pleasure and satisfaction that I now let you know
of my good heaith. _ Looking back on what L}
have passed through, it seems as if I ‘was ‘lifted
from the grave, and I think it my duty to acknowledye to you ana the world the benefit I de-tived irom water treatment as.administered by
you in your celebrated baths. In was-in Augast
1864, w disease cee itself with a severe
cough. [then took medicine, getting woree,
witu chiila, fevers, loss of a i, and was
ronounced consumptive. This set me to thinkng, aad finally I determined to.leave my business and go to the Sandwich Islands. having been
informed that { could not be cured here. I went
to San Francisco, and whilic waiting for a ship,
calledon Dr Beurne, who stated that a trip
the Islands would probably result disastrously.
was wholly unnecessary. as I could be specdily
cured ai his establishinent. I placed myself under his treatment, and in one week was #0 much
improved that 1 thought lL eould risk returuing
heme and to my duty as eagineer on the Central
Pacific Railroad. The Doctor objected: eg bs
thought I knew better, and returneu to Jove gee
about two weeks my cough returned kept
etting worse, and Bae oan to Dr. beaten
> nection pores, to take medicine ayain, committed
that tolly,.and soon was so run down
that I could searcely walk; 20,8 a iast resort
I concluded to once more try the Water Cure. I
went to San Francisco, ay of my friends expecting me to return ; in fact I thought m y return
dvubtiul. On nase at Dr p Sebi 6 establishment, Feb. 14, 1865, I wae not able to get into the bath out nesistance. but in afew days
I began te gain. lremained with him only six
weeks, when I left, ‘‘a wiser and a better man,’’
without the aid of medicine. { have now been
at work several weeks. and find that I am
his eure and treatment wh 4 as em t assuredly
