The election was superintended by Capt. C. 8. Wells of the Howell Zouayes, The following officers were elected: Captain, M. 8. Deal; 1st Lientenant, John Rapp; 2d Lieutenant, D. B. Getchell. The meeting was largely attended, and thanks were returned to Capt. Lancaster and the officers of the Company who have had charge of it for many years. Captain Lancaster and Lieutenant Deal have held their commissions in ‘the Company since August 1866, Smash Up and Detention. ¥*Phe mails due in this city on Sunday night did not arrive until about 5 o'clock yesterday morning, The detention was caused by ‘a smash up a freight trains at Clipper Gap. Considerable damage was done to the'trains and one engineer was considerably injured.
