. Behold my So, Who Possesses all the merits of his Father, ~Two men, Mr. Braggart and Mr. Quickwit, were passing thro’
a forest together. ‘I hope,” remarked Mr. Quickwit, ‘‘that
there are no bears in this wood.’
“‘Ah,” said Mr. Braggart,’? ‘You are afraid, are you? I only
hope we will meet with one so that I may show you how brave
I am in an hour of peril, and how I would protect you.’”’ At
this instant a rustling noise was heard in the bushes near by
and out came a huge bear. Both men took in the situation ata glance. Mr.
Paprw me 4 shinned-u

he could not fly, but he threw himself flat on the ground and assuined the appearance of a dead man. The bear approached,
reed him all over carefully and departed, believing him to
ead.
Rich moral to this is, always prove your deeds by actions, not
words.
If then it is best to prove the deeds b actions, why would -it
not also be well in introducing an article of commerce, to establish the excellency of the quality by a test. Believing the idea
to be a good one, a large'number of ‘Snow Flake” sam es
have been prepared for this purpose. The bottle containing
the sample is a fac simile of the large’ one, which is pre
for sale, in fact, ‘‘a chip off the old block,” and a perfect image
of the father. They are put up ver neatly indeed, and ara
“just too cute for anything,” as a ady recently remarked on
being shown one.
