Yesterday morning, in less than two. hours, $17,500 was subscribed to the Nevada City, Grass Valley} and Colfax railroad project. The distance is esti. mated at 21 miles, and it is necessary to raise $21,000 before the incorporation ofthe Company. -The-entire amount could have been raised in Nevada, but it is proposed te give Grass Valley a chance in the Company.
