The Addition to the National Exchange Hotel is now en‘tirely completed, and is being furnished by Lancaster & Hasey. Dreyfuss, on ‘Spring street, has about completed his ‘fine twestery brick dwellin g house, and ‘J. E. Johnson has finished a ‘splendid frame dwelling on Nevada street. The. vother buildings are mostly intended for ‘small residences and business places. We do not ‘believe there is a carpenter . ; ‘in this vicinity out of employment, and the number of new and substantial Huildings recently erected speaks well. ‘for the permanent prosperi ty of Nevada. THe Ran Fauu.—tThe rain fall from ‘) o'clock on Tuesday, up to yesterday. Morning, according to the South Yuba Canal Co’, guage, was 1.46 inches — “This makes a total of 2.91 inches during the storm, The rain fall at this place, up to. 9 o'clock on Tuesday, was 1.45: inches. Up to the-same time the fall at Grass Valley was.onl y 0.83 inches — The guage used at Grass Valley was’ obtained from the Smithsonian Instiment of San Francisco, and is the same measure the rain-fall. The difference in the amount of water which fell during the late storm at Nevada and Grass Valley, may be owing to the variable character of the rain, and it is possible that both guages in use are correct.— But taking the average, it is hardly probable that so great a difference in could exist’ CABIN RoBBED.—On Sunday night last, the cabin of D. Anderson, situated on Selby Flat, was entered and robbed. The thief was provided with false keys, as Mr. Anderson, who had come to Ne-— vada in the evening, locked his door before leaving home, and on his return found it fastened. The rogue made a clean sweep of everything in the house, taking clothes, bedding, blankets, boots, provisions, etc., and even stole two pounds of beef-swak, hanging up ina sack. Nothing has been seen or heard “of the missing articles. ’ A FINE PRESENT.—The Rescue Hose ‘Company, of Timbuctoo, ascertaining that the Pennsylvania Engine Compa. ny of this city, desired to procure a jumper, have written a letter to Chief Engineer Schmittburg, presenting a fine hose cart to our boys, The Pennsylvania Co, will meet on Saturday night and the present-will no doubt be accepted. This disease is “so active and so dangerous that I-would advise-all persons who are attacked with it to ‘give this medicine a trial. ‘ My medicine may be used in any condition, or for the youngest child, without harm. No person.need fear'to swallow the Wash: it is entirely free from poison; but it is best in all cases to spit out all the slime that can be got 4 up. : Aly medicines are labeled, and none are genuine unless my signature is attached to the “Same. “The medicines were patented August 16th, 1864, by Mrs. M. The result was everything I could desire. The patient was relieved in a very short time and entirely cured in a few days—without any deleterious effect from the medicine, or loss of strength to the patient. Believing that it is the best remedy for. cases of this kind, and knowing the convenience to families of having a remedy at hand are m reasons for recommending this infallible cure to the public. JOHN KNEELAND. Mrs. M. A. Ragsdale :—Last Fall one of my children, five months old, was attacked with a severe Sore Throat;and Hoarseness. So bad was the disease that I thought I would lose it. I gave the child your Medicine, and in less than two hours it found relief, breathed free, and,is icine to the public as a remedy that all persons who have families should have on hand, I consider it a safe and sure cure for. the complaints which the advertisements ret forth.
