maintenance of Public Roads i inthe County
of Nevada,” I will sell at publi¢ sale to the
lowest bidder, in frontof Walling’s Hotel,
Rough and Ready, on Saturday, November
25th, 1871, at 1 o’clock, P. M., a
repairing and keepipg in repair unti 'ptember oa. 1873, the following described
roads of said county, in
ROUGH AND READY TOWNSHIP:
Section No.1. Commencing from the
junction of the American Ranch and Indian
Springs road on the old McCourtney road to
the Yuba County line, — miles more
or less.
This line of road requires break-waters
and turn out places, to turn the water _off
the road to keep it from washing; and in
good passable traveling order through the
Winter. Also, td keep thé ditches open during the rainy season, :* Also, the bridges and
culverts to be put in good substantial repair immediately, and-to be kept so during
the whole term of the contract. There shall
be no unsound timber or plank used in the
construction of any bridge or culvert on the
line of said road, nor shall any plank be
used thereon less than three inches in thickness for such repairs or construction, and
in all cases spruce must be used when the
same can be obtained. The contractor will
bé required to keep the road clear of ob.
