Notice to Tax Payers and ConOTICE is hereby given that in accordN ance with an Act of the Legisiature of
the State of California, entitled “an Act to
provide for the location, construction, and
maintenance of Public Roads in the County
of Nevada,” E will sell at public sale to the
lowest bidder, in front of. Walling’s Hotel,
Rough and Ready, on Saturday, November
26th, 1871; at 1 o’clock, P. M., contracts for
repairing and keeping in repair until September 3d, 1873; the following described
roads of said county, in
ROUGH AND READY TOWNSHIP:
. Section No.1. Commencing from the
junction of the American Ranch and Indian
Springs road on the old McCourtney road to
the Yuba Cownty line, — miles more
or less. f
This line of road requires break-waters
and turn out places, to turn the water off
the road to keep it from washing,-andin
good passable traveling order through the
Winter. Also, to keep the ditches open during the rainy season. Also, the bridges and
culverts tu be put in good substantial repair immediately, and to be kept so dnring
the whole term of the contract. There shall
be no unsound timber or plank used in the
construction of any bridge or eulvert on the
-line of said road. por gral any plank be

in all cases spruce must be used when the
