On the second meeting of the. Literary Club, which will come off one
week from Monday night next, the
juestion for -discussion_will be, resolved, ‘‘that the best interests of
the nation demand the, supremacy
of the Democratic party.”
Frink thinks Truckee is a delightful place for Winter residence. The
snow.there has a tendency to make
people sociable, and all feel gay
while the storm king rages. A contented mind is a continual feast.
Happy Frink!
Now election is over politics. just
begin to rage in this vicinity.
The storm cleared up vesterday,
We suppose, for the Young Ladies
Social Club. They were advised to
postpone their party, but determined:
» not to do so, and the result shows
that ‘fortune always favors the
brave.”’
Remember the first meeting of the
Literary Club will take place at the
Theatre on Monday evening. The
programme is an.attractive one, and?
the house should be crowded.
The ground is thoroughly soaked,
and the roads by proper mixing
with heavy teams will be bad enough
to suit any one in,a few days.

Common. sense suggests by. the use of. inThe great object is
to strengthen the system, without exciting

of the most potent and genial of all vegetable tonics and alteratives, Hostetter’s Stomach Bitters. Many. valuable properties are
