FRIDAY, NOV. 7, 1884.
Booa Brewery on Fire.
» The Republican says that Thareday morning thealarm of fire was
sounded and it proved to be the Boca Brewing Company’s estalishment
at Boca, For a while the utmost
gonsternation prevailed, and the water train was already to start when
the news came that the fire was u0der control, Will Robinson came
down later inthe day, and stated
. the fire originated in the furnace
where the kegs are pitched. The
men were getting ready to pitch the
inside of some of the large casks io
the cellar and got the pitch too hot,
when it took fire and for a time looked as if the entire establishment
would be destroyed. Fortunately
water privileges are good at Boca,
and in a moment or soa stream of
» water was playing on the fire, and it
was not long until it was fully under
control, Not however until it had
consumed the building where the
furnace is located, and also some 15)
beer kegs. The actual loss will probably net $600. ‘The railrosd men
were promptly out with the water
’ train, and would have been on han
for service as quick as the Sampson
could have made speed to Boca.
Accident to a Child.
The Union of yesterday says:
The four year old daughter of
Wm, Richards, residing on Church
street, fell from a swing on Tuesdey
and the back of her head struck the
" ground with so much violence that
she lay in a stapor through the
entire night. The physicians, Drs.
Jones and Jamieson, for a time
feared that, serious injury had been
sustained by the little one, but yeeterday she showed good improvement.

The favorable reputation thesacarriages have made in localities where they hav _
been used for several years by liverymen, physicians, farmers and others requiring hard
and constant use, and the fact that they can be bought for about one half the price charged
bv most manu‘acturers, has led to an increased demand from those localities.
