Jadge Stidger says that Mr,

Pea_ cock, told him the Buckeye Mills
Company is opposed to the debris
suits, and that the company did not
refuse to take the Marysville Express because it stood in for -a
peaceful solution of the debris diificilties bat for other reasons. It
can be proven that Mr. Stidger
either misunderstood Mr. Peacock,
or else Mrs Peacock said one thing

ISSUED FROM THE
Palace Dry Goods —
ROSENBERG BROS,,
OF THE PALACE DRY GOODS STORE have this day recei fe —
a stock of Dry Goods as has never before been seen in any one store:
Northern California.
Asa well-known lady of experience remarked :
“We can find more goods in this Store. than in
all the other Stores in the city combined.”
‘Having sucht an immense stock of goods to speak for hucticlves, it
would be useless to tell the people bow and of whom we buy them. Lverybody knows we can sell at other houses’ prices and ake inmmense profits.
In tact those other houses could buy of us at. lower rates than they now
pay. We buy not only for our own great establishments, but also for other firms on commission. We do certainly now, as we have always done,
permit noone to undersell us, ,
We do not claim to be public Benefactors.
Neither do we keep trash in our store ; nor do we throw baits in order to catch customers. Lvery piece of goods
STANDS ON ITS OWN -MERITS,
And must bring its legitimate price, So you pay no more in our store
} forone, yard of the finest fabric made than you do proportionately for one
yard of calico. This accounts for
OUR SUCCESS IN BUSINESS HER K AND ELSEWHERE.
Having arranged our Store this fall into separate départiients, you will
perceive upon first entering
' Our Corset Wepartment
Where we have a very extensive stock purchased from Eastern houses that
failed this season. We liave made ph reductions in prices on this line of
goods, In order to give our custemers and friends the full benefit of these
bargains, we will sell *“*OUR FAVORITE,” the best in the market for the
price (usually one dollar) for FIFTY CENTS. “OUR CAMILIE,” the
leading Corset, with doub!e busk, aud cuaranhteed. A pair of new steels
will be given for every one that breaks. Selling in other stores at One
Dollar anda half., Sold at the Palace fot SEVENLY-LIVE CENTS. We
i have about 20 different brands of Corsets on all-of which a reduction of At
