A gentleman who resides at Etireka told us that the changes in text books by Fitzgerald compelled him to go to an expense of $25 in his own family, and that he intended to do his best to defeat him to-day. Yesterday a poor man called ‘at our office and thanked us for the fight we were making against Fitzgerald. He ssid he had been compelled to take his children out of school because he could not supply them with new books or accept the famd. He choose to take them out of school until he can get able to pay for books and then send them back. He proposes to cast a vote against Fitzgerald for that unnecessary expense to-day.
