On last Friday night three of them—two Americans and one Mexicans—went to the house of Thomas Fitzsimmons, on the road that leads from Allison Ranch to bo via Ray's Ranch. They were armed andmasked. They stole . $100 in coin and’ $150 worth of jewery. After going through the house they compelled Mrs, Fitzsimmons to gook them a supper, and after eating they left with their spoils. On last Wednesday night part of the same gang went to Michael Phalon’s place and stole a mare worth $70 or $80. The same party stole some barley 4rom Peter Odell’s ranch, and a saddle from Taggert’s,/A number of other thefts have been committed in different parts of the township. It is to be hoped that these rogues will be captured, and thé officers in the different parts of the county should be on the alert for them. Two of the same gang were recently seen by agentleman.on the road for this . The following are the fall particulars of the robbery at Fitzsimmons’ house: The men, two Americans and a Spaniard, rode up to the trough outside the gate to get a drink, about dark. Fitzsimmons was in the yard and said, ‘gentlemen, come inside . ~ and drink at the well.’’ They did so, and he talked with them and when started off he walked a few steps them. When he turned to go Tanch came ont. by one of the robbers, taken into the house and tied. They then took Fitesimmons in, and after securing his shot gun uncapped it and laid it down by his side. At this } Period of the year, when the fall of the ; leaf indicates that decay hes seized upon the vegetable kingdom, many harassing diseases are prevalent. Chief among these may be mentioned intermittent fever and biliows remittent. The exhalations rising from decomposing vegetation, and the} heavy dews and fogs, are very apt to generate these complaints. Tho wisest policy is te protect the system by a course of Hostetter's Stomach Bitters at the commencement of the fall, Much suffering may thereby be avoided. But if the disease has slready begun, its periodical visitations may readily be checked and broken up by this active, yet harmless, vegetable tonic. But beon your guard against the charlatans who are attempting to palm off, under various names, unwholesome compounds, which they pretend to compare favorably with the great national elixir, which has long since swept more formidable opposition from the field, Bearin mind that every bottle sof genuine Hostetter’s ‘Stomach Bitters is authenticated by a splendidly engraved label, and g fac simile ot the sigh manual of the firm. ut up in bottles only, and cannot be obtained in bulk.
