in the way of pruspecting for quartz has

‘flattering indications. McGuire & Co. have

CLAIMS THE BANNER.—A corresvondent writing from N. Bloomfield, states
that the State Cential Committee have
offered a banner to the Precinct easting the
‘largest Union vote in proportiun to the
entire vote cast: He says thatin Bloomfield,
where the parties have been heretofore about
equally divided, the matter bas been canvassed and only three doubtiul voters were
found in that section. He says Bloomfield 1
bound to have the banner. Our Bloomfield
friends will have to get clear of those three
doubtiul fellows, or Yuu Bet will beat them
sure.
Gtorious MeeTing.—The Union men
had a glorious weeting st Grase Valley last

GeweraL Woot on McCLeLtan.—
General Weel, wheseopinions should be of
deep interest to all, whether they have heretofore acted with the Administration or
against it, speaking of the election of McClel" Yaa, says: “His election means trailing our
flag in. the dust before its enemies; the
_ entire subserviency of the North to the
South; and the surrender‘of' the United
