Section 1. Commencing at’ the junctfon
of Pine and: broad streets, thence running
over the Suspension Bridge past the HaltMile House, up the ridge, passing the
house of. T. L. Hughestv Slate Creek, including Slate Creek bridge. This section
also includes the crogs road leading from
the Grass. Valley tul) road to road section’

This-section of read requires break-waters and turn,out places:to turn the water
off the road so as to keep it frodm washing
and keep it in good passable traveling order through the winter; also to keep the
ditches open through the rainy season; also al bridges and culverts to be put, in
good substantial repair. immediately, and
keptso during the whéle term of contract.
The Contractor will be required te keep
the road clear of all obstructions; he will
also be required to go over the roads every
two weeks during his term of contract, aud

Red Dog and Quaker Hill roads, balf a mile
