NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE
“ SOMPANY.
“Kk Word to the. Wise is Sufficient.”
ITS CHIEF ADVANTAGES ARE SECURITY aND CHEAPNESS.
Its location has given it an immens, advantage over »mpanies located
in the yreat moneyed centers, where vast accumulatiors of wealth and
capital lessen the rates of interest. Add to this that many of these companies are compelled by charter requirement to make their investments
within their own State and the cause of the great differenve in the cost of
olicies,The assets of the Northwestern Mutual are now over Twenty Millions
of Dollars, Excluding Tontine surplus, it is the strongest of the five largest American mutual life insuranca companies, as shown by the ratio of
surplus to liabilities, g
For the past nine years its expenses, taxes and death claims have
been paid from its interest incomealone. Noother company can show a
similar record for a single year.
Its dividends have exceeded all other companies for the past ten years
on similar policies, while its percentage of surplus to liabilities has been
increased from 16.6 in 1871 to 28.3 iu 1882, as per New York Reports.
The business of the Northwestern Mutual is confined to he healthier
portions of the northern United States. Its percentage of mortality to
mean amount at risk has been reduced from 1,29 in 1878 to 1.08 in 1882,
The average of the ten largest companies for five years, 1877 to 1881 inclusive, is 1.42,
All policies contain the non-forfeiture clause.
No unnecessary restriction as to travel. :
This company has paid nearly $400,000 in losses and over $300,000 in
endowments in the State of California, :
Jts endowment policies will pay from 5 to 6 per cent compound interest, life insurance thrown in, For further particulars apply to
