M., Wolfe have undertaken a work of great importance t6 the county, and to all people of other localities interested in the development of the minesof this State. The work will embrace the name of every man in the county, his place of residence and business, a full and complete history of the county and its various towns and mining camps, from their earliest settlement down to the present tine. this, the work will contain full statistics of the mining interests of the county, and. all other industrial resources. The work «will also be supplied with an excellent and accurate map prepared by” County Surveyor H. 8S. Bradley. Sach a work as this is greatly needed, and Bean has the . energy and the material necessary to make itaccurate and valuable. For the historical part of the work he has secured the services of the best writers in the county. Such a work is just what is needed to make known our resources abroad. We call the attention of our readers to the Prospectus which wilk be found in another column. THE THEATRE.—'I'he Theatre last evening was well attended, and the audience was delighted with the performance,— Those who wish to énjoy a rich treat should not fail to. attend to-night. ‘Asmodeus” will be presented ;/ Miss Kate Denin appears as Carlo, the minstrel, and Mr. John Wilson as Don Raphael D’Estunego, the pupil. The other characters by the Company. The after-piece will be “Sketches in India,” in which Miss Denin appears ag Nancy Scraggs. Miss Denin is a splendid singer and @ good actress, and Mr. Wilson is first-rate. The performances are of a . lively character, and cannot fail to please those who attend. © Everybody who desires tospend a pleasant evening should attend the "Theatre to-night.
