, ANNUAL MusTir:.—The annual muster of the Nevada Light. Guard took
place on Friday evening. Only thirty?
two muskets were out: and’ it» requires
thirty more to fill up the rolls, which
should be, done as soon.as possible.—.
Many of the memberg are employed: at
a distance from town, and others are
so deéply. absorbed in politics that they
did not come out. Members must come
upand sign the new muster or the company ‘will forfeit its organization.—
On Friday night the Company, after
parading through the streets, was halted in front of the. National Exchange.
‘Here the ‘inspection and muster was
had, and afterward the Company marched tothe Armory and partook of an. ex{
cellent luncheon’ prepared by Alex.
Gault. The boys enjoyed themselves
until a late hour singing patriotic songs.
Altogether the muster was a jolly affair and the. ember enjoyed it “miuchly.” :

Don’t WANT THE Fuiac.—One of
the Democratic candidates had his attention called to the speaker’s stand yes
terday, which was gaily decorated with
flags for Sibley and Sawyer to speak
under, when he remarked : “We don’t
want those ‘flags to.speak under, we]”
don’t speak under them.” There are .
thousands of loyal men that will speak
under that flag on Wednesday next,
and they will say, “such Democrats
can’t hold office under that flag.”
‘Stop Irricatme.—tThe, supply of
water for city purposes has now become so limited that Mr. Marsh, the
ptoprietor of the water works has been
compelled to request those of our citizens who use water for sprinkling gar
dens and streetsto desist. If it is not
stopped there will not be sufficient water for culinary purposes.
CHANGE oF T'rmE.—As the Winter
quence the evenings are growing longer,
we are Tequested to state that the time
