The people of Union Hill have
been: building a new school house,
and to help pay the expense of building, will give a party on Friday
night of this week. The school
room is about fifty feet long, and will

the party is given is a noble one, and
there should be a large turn-out.

the county are now open, except one
or two districts, which are building
new houses. From-the San Juan
Times we clip the following: The
schools of this distriet opened with
a full attendanee of pupils on Monday last. The school at Sweetland
opened on Monday last with N,
Kennedy as teacher. The North
Bloomfield district school commenced
on Morday last. Geo, E. Robinson,
formerly of this place, hes charge of
the school. The Sebastopol school
commenced on Monday last, with
Miss Hannah Davis as teacher.
