Thurman Club of Grass Valley, yesterday, resulted in the Harrison and
Morton Club Committee getting out
dodgers headed ‘‘Come to time!” and
which requested the Democratic Club’s
committee to nreet the representative
Republicans ata specified hour and
place to arrange to be agreed upon
by the twoclubs. The Democrats did
“come to time” and the following
agreement was entered into and sign~ is
ed.
It is. mutually agreed between the
undersighed ‘Republican Democratic
Clubs of Grass Valley, that on the
reasonable determination of the present
election for President and Vice President of the United States, that in the
event of the election of Cleveland &
Thurman, the lamps, caps, cepes,
transparencies and decorations of the
Republican Club shall be delivered
and presented to the Democratic Clib;
and in the event of the eleciion of
Harrison & Mortdn, the lamps, caps,
caps, transparencies and decorations
of the Democratic Club shall be presented to the Republican Club
—delivery and reception to be formal
and public. This agreement is made
ina friendly spirit, and with the view
to carry out the political adage, ‘‘to the
victors belong the spoils.’”’
